Brief History:

Dissonance was formed in June 2008 by multi instrumentalist Emil P.W.S Holmgren and singer/lyricist extraordinaire Oliver Palmquist. They realized they both wanted to play melodic, technical thrash with lyrics that meant something (as opposed to the usual horror movie references and silly party-all-night songs). Recordings started a few weeks after the band was formed with Emil playing guitars and bass and programming drums and sharing vocal duties with Oliver. The band's name was thought up during a game of Gran Turismo 4 after the first vocal recording session was over and Oliver designed the logo that same evening. A week later, the website you're reading this on was created by a frustrated Emil.
